The quickest route. We read everything, though we cannot always reply individually.
What to include
- For a correction: the page, the figure you think is wrong, and what you believe it should be.
- For a missing name: the name and, if you have it, a source for the meaning or the person.
- For a data question: have a look at the methodology page first — it probably covers it.
Corrections
If a number here looks wrong, please tell us. Everything is derived from public files, so a mistake is usually reproducible — and fixable.
What we cannot help with
We cannot look up a person, tell you who shares your name, trace family history, or provide records about any individual. We hold no data about people — only aggregate statistics about names. Requests of that kind cannot be answered.

Happy to help with figures, methodology or sourcing. The underlying datasets are public and we can point you to the exact files behind any number on the site.
Before you write
A few questions come up constantly, and the answers are already on the site:
- “My name is missing.” Both source datasets suppress very small counts for privacy. See the methodology page.
- “The number looks too low.” Figures are adjusted for survival and exclude people who immigrated as adults, so they are usually lower than raw birth totals.
- “Can you find someone for me?” No. This is not a people-search service and we hold no personal records.
